Proven leaders chosen to mentor Liberty Fellowship’s 13th class

July 21, 2017

Twenty-one creative thinkers with deep connections to their communities are mentoring the Fellows in Liberty Fellowship’s class of 2018. Like the Fellows with whom they are paired, these mentors are diverse in thought and experience and are ready to work with the Fellows to help them realize their full leadership potential.

“These are established leaders who themselves have invested in South Carolina in various capacities,” commented Luanne Runge, Liberty Fellowship President & CEO. “They will be excellent guides as the Fellows move through the program and crystallize their plans to take action to benefit South Carolina.”

Being paired with a mentor is one part of the Class of 2018’s Fellowship experience, which also includes attending five seminars over 18 months. One seminar – the Aspen Institute Globalization Seminar – places them with Fellows from similar programs in cities around the world. Mentors also provide guidance to the Fellows on their personal projects, the final component of the program.

“Great mentors build up other leaders, encouraging their success and helping shape their path from success to significance,” added Hayne Hipp, who co-founded Liberty Fellowship with his wife, Anna Kate. “We’re grateful to these mentors for this commitment, which ultimately impacts South Carolina through heightened leadership.”

These are the mentors for the Liberty Fellowship Class of 2018:
